The Kentucky Country Music Association held it’s annual Award Show October 21, 2006, at Junction Jamboree in Lebanon Junction, KY. This years Award Show was small, this is because most of our members were booked and therefore were not able to attend. This may sound bad but it is actually a good thing.. The reason that this is not bad is, this means that the KCMA is working. Our members are getting more exposure and therefore are being booked more. I do wish that there were more members competing but that’s the business. We are very proud however of the members that won the different Awards this year. The KCMA would like to thank Kevin Grissom the owner of the Junction Jamboree and the band for inviting us to use their facilities for this year’s Award Show. The band was awesome, they all worked extremely hard backing our Entertainers. As a former musician I realize that working with different Entertainers with very little time to rehearse is not an easy thing to do, but this band is so wonderful they did it like they have played with each one a million times.
